D’Iberville Police Department discuss starting neighborhood watch program
D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WLOX) - On Thursday, D’Iberville Police Department held a meeting to discuss starting a new neighborhood watch program.
Officers gave a presentation on how the program would work and shared crime prevention tips.
Chief Shannon Nobles said a neighborhood watch program would also build a great relationship between the community and law enforcement.
“The biggest thing is transfer of information from citizens to law enforcement. We can’t be everywhere. We can’t see everything. So we rely on citizens to give us that information,” Nobles said.
People who want to take part in the program should contact the city’s police department.
