BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) -

Bay St. Louis police are working with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department to identify and find two men accused of robbing a gas station Tuesday morning.

Police Chief Mike DeNardo said authorities were called to the Gas and Go convenience store at Hwy. 603 and Interstate 10 that morning to investigate an armed robbery.

The clerk reportedly told police two men walked into the store, and one of them pulled out a gun and demanded money after asking for cigarettes. The men reportedly took cash and other items and left the store.

DeNardo said surveillance video from a nearby business shows the men making their getaway in what could be a U-Haul van.

Officials said the clerk described one of the suspects as a white man of average height in his mid-twenties and weighing around 260 pounds. The other suspect was described as a black male in his 20s with a stocky build.

If you know any details about this crime or have information that could help identify the suspects, please call Detective Sgt. Austin Stanton or Detective Lt. James Burch at 228-466-5484 or 228-466-5483.
