Friday’s Forecast

Good Friday morning, South Mississippi! Please be advised that this afternoon’s high tide may cause minor flooding along portions of the immediate shoreline due to strong onshore winds. We will feel increasing humidity today. And you should have an umbrella handy for any scattered showers although there will also be some occasional dry breaks too. Expect more persistent rain on Saturday and Sunday. Some weekend downpours could lead to rainfall totals of 2-3 inches with isolated spots picking up 3-5 inches or more. Please watch for potential street flooding, especially if rain persists over the same areas. This wet pattern is being driven by weak Gulf low pressure moving northward.
