The National Hurricane Center has issued a tropical storm warning for the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Potential Tropical Cyclone Three has a high chance of strengthening to a depression or storm in the Gulf tonight or Friday.
Tonight, will be slightly cooler but still warm and a bit humid with lows staying in the 70s. Thursday will be a lot like Wednesday. Our rain chances increase exponentially on Friday as tropical moisture moves into the northern Gulf of Mexico.
The evening showers and thunderstorms are moving offshore. It is quite the lightning show looking south. Only isolated showers and storms are expected for Wednesday and Thursday. Tropical moisture returns Friday, and we are going to see scattered showers and storms starting as early as Friday morning. Widespread showers and storms are likely Saturday through Sunday.
It’s another hot and humid day! We’ll easily see temperatures climb into the low to mid 90s this afternoon. The humidity will make the heat index as high as 100-108. Hit or miss showers and storms are possible this afternoon and evening. Some storms could produce heavy downpours, gusty winds, and hail. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 7 PM for all of South Mississippi.

It will be hot with highs in the mid to upper 80s, even some inland areas could climb into the low 90s. It WILL FEEL hotter with heat index values in the 90s and low 100s.

It’s going to be a beautiful Sunday! We’ll see plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid 80s. It won’t be quite as windy with a southeast breeze this afternoon around 10-15 MPH. Because some water may be slow to retreat in Hancock County, a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect.
Our Saturday is looking pretty nice, but it will be breezy again this afternoon. We’ll see winds pick up from the east and southeast around 15-20 MPH. A few gusts may be higher. This could lead to more coastal flooding. Highs today will reach the low to mid 80s.
The wind has been shaking us around today, and there’s the chance for some gusts near 40-45 MPH tonight! We’ll keep the wind out of the east and southeast, which could cause some coastal flooding. A few showers will linger this evening, but rain chances will decrease overnight tonight.
Showers have tapered off tonight, and we’ll only have a chance for isolated showers through Wednesday morning. The rest of the night will be windy with a southeast wind around 15-25 MPH. Temperatures will be in the low 70s. Hit or miss storms are possible on Wednesday.
Some light showers will linger this evening and it’s going to stay breezy tonight. We’ll keep a breeze from the southeast around 10-20 MPH. Low temperatures will be in the upper 60s to low 70s. A few more showers and storms are possible early Tuesday morning, with the best chance west of Highway 49.

Thankfully, we don’t have any heavy rain to worry about anymore! A cold front has passed through, and we’re seeing cooler and drier air move in tonight. Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s and low 60s by Thursday morning. The sky will stay mostly cloudy.
There will be some on and off showers into the overnight hours. There is a frontal system draped through South Mississippi, and it had been keeping us quite humid and unsettled, but it is starting to move through the area.
Even though we had a break in the rain this evening, more showers and storms are on the way tonight and early Wednesday morning. Some storms may produce heavy rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect.
There is a Flash Flood Watch through Wednesday at 1 PM. Additional rainfall accumulation will be between one and two inches with some higher amounts in isolated areas. There will still be some on and off showers through the overnight hours and more widespread showers and storms after 3 AM.
