We are seeing another rainy day, so make sure you have your rain gear ready as we start this soggy Monday in South Mississippi. A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Pearl River, Hancock, Harrison and Jackson Counties in South Mississippi until 7 PM Tuesday evening.

We’re in for another hot and humid day! Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s. A disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico will give us a chance for a few showers and storms late this morning and into the afternoon. Some storms could produce heavy downpours.

Tropical Depression Cristobal continues to pull away from South Mississippi, and the rain showers are diminishing. Conditions will gradually improve. It is going to stay warm and very muggy with this tropical air mass in place.

We are closely watching Tropical Storm Cristobal as it makes its way closer to the Gulf Coast. We’re going to see more of its rain bands moving through this morning, and it will be breezy. Tropical Storm Warnings remain in effect. We also have Storm Surge Warnings for Hancock and Harrison County.
