The past couple of days have been some of the hottest days we have seen in quite some time. Temps will fall off somewhat once the sunsets at 6:53 PM. The, Fall officially begins at 8:03 PM this evening. Tonight will be warm and a bit humid. A cold front to our north could spark a few showers later this evening, but most of South Mississippi will not see any rain. The cold front will help our temps a bit, making them not as hot and in the low 90s, but that is still above average. So, it will still be hot but not as hot and a little less humid through the weekend. We will see a slight chance for some isolated to scattered showers through Monday. Next week, we will see a more potent front move through that area. That front will lower our temps and humidity; plus, it may help to steer potential storms away from South Mississippi. But we will keep a close eye on the tropics and the development of Invest 98L as it could enter the Gulf of Mexico next week.
