Stay weather aware today. There is a Tornado Watch until 10 PM and a Flash Flood Watch for South Mississippi through 1 AM. An organized complex of strong to severe thunderstorms arrives by this evening. We’ll be watching for threats like flash flooding, straight-line thunderstorm wind gusts topping 60 to 70 miles per hour, large hail, and isolated tornadoes this evening through tomorrow morning. Behind that complex, a some scattered showers and thunderstorms may then redevelop tomorrow morning. While there is still a low risk for some strong to severe storms on Wednesday morning, we should see lower rain chances by tomorrow afternoon and evening. Drier air with lower humidity arrives by Thursday. Nice, pleasant and dry weather should continue Friday into Saturday. We may see a few clouds and showers return by Sunday.
