Carrie's Midday First Alert Forecast

A Flash Flood Watch is still in effect for all of South Mississippi. Additional rainfall totals through Saturday, are expected to be 1 to 3 inches with isolated higher amounts possible. We did see some heavy downpours this morning. The ground is saturated and additional rainfall will likely cause flooding, especially in low lying and poorly drained areas. Do not enter or cross flowing water or water of unknown depth. If you come to a road covered in water, turn around and find an alternate path. The forecasts calls for more rain, but the timing is still somewhat uncertain, so stay weather aware should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. We are going to see a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm; then showers will be likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 8pm and 4am. Then there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4am. Saturday will hold a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will be mild with highs in the low to mid 70s. We may see a few early morning showers on Sunday, but the weather really dries up Sunday and into the new week. And we expect pleasant spring temperatures.
