|It’s going to be another hot one today! Temperatures will quickly climb this morning, and we’ll be in the low 90s around midday. Most of the morning is looking dry, but a few showers and storms will develop this afternoon. Not everyone will see rain, but some of us could get heavy downpours, gusty winds, and some hail. Saturday will also bring another chance for showers and storms. A few of these storms could be strong, too. Here's the latest forecast.

|It was hotter today with highs in the low to mid 90s. Then we saw some thunderstorms fire across South Mississippi, and they dropped some hail in parts of Harrison County. Tonight, the rain cooled air is nice for those who saw rain, but it is hot and humid for those who dodged the showers. We expect some clearing with low temperatures in the upper 60s inland and low 70s along the coast. Thursday will be another hot and humid day with scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will be hot in the low 90s with feels like temperatures in the mid to upper 90s.

|Heat index has already hit the mid to upper 90s just before noon! A hot afternoon on the way for sure unless we can get some pop-up t-storms to help some of us cool off.

|Tropics are quiet for the next seven days in the Gulf, Caribbean, or Atlantic. As computer models usually tend to show this time of year, some low pressure may form in the tropics beyond the next seven days. Signs pointing to the Caribbean. However, that far out in the future, computer model forecasts are typically not very reliable at all.
