What began as a follow-up to a report of a gunshot ended with a drug bust and the arrest of three people in Jackson County.

Those arrested are William Chambliss, 53, on a warrant through Gautier Police Department and Annie Marie Walker, 39, for possession of meth.

Mississippi Department of Corrections has a hold on Deveon Cunningham, 41, for parole violation. He is charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Cunningham is also charged with possession of meth, heroin, cocaine, marijuana felony, methadone, adderall, hydrocodone, and oxycodone.

Just before 8:30 p.m. on Monday August 13,  a woman called dispatch saying someone shot at her house on El Dorado Avenue in St. Martin, striking the back of the home.

Sheriff Mike Ezell says the homeowner told deputies she though the gunshot came from a home directly behind hers on Durango Avenue. Deputies went there are found a trailer being powered by a generator, which was determined to be stolen. Sheriff's investigators and drug officers were called to get a search warrant.

The sheriff says a search of the trailer turned up three handguns and drugs, all of which were confiscated by law enforcement.  Chambliss, Walker and Cunningham are being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center awaiting initial court appearances.
