Findings from fatal Biloxi bus/train collision to be presented in live meeting

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Findings from the fatal 2017 collision between a motorcoach and CSX freight train will be presented at a board meeting in Washington D.C. Tuesday at 8:30 am (CDT).

The fatal accident happened on March 7, 2017, in Biloxi and left four passengers dead.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will present analysis, findings, recommendations, and probable cause determinations from the collision at Tuesday's meeting.

The charter bus was headed north when witnesses said it appeared to get stuck on the tracks at Main Street in Biloxi. The passengers started to exit when a CSX train headed east hit the bus broadside, according to witnesses.

The NTSB released a public docket containing 3,300 pages of information including: investigative group reports, interview transcripts, photographs and other documents supporting the investigation on July 24, 2018.
