MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - A former Moss Point standout is cashing in.
Devin Booker announced he re-signed with the Phoenix Suns late Saturday night through his personal twitter account. According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, the contract extension is worth the maximum of five years and $158 million.
In his statement, Booker said he is "humbled (and) honored to commit to the Suns organization long term," and that he is looking forward to the future and "pursuing a title as a Sun."
Injuries limited Booker to just 54 games this year, but when he did play, his trademark scoring touch never failed to shine through. The Moss Point product averaged an impressive 24.9 points per game, which would have qualified for the eighth-best scoring average in the league.
