League of Distinguished Gentlemen looking for members

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - The League of Distinguished Gentlemen is looking for a few good men.
On Saturday, the mentorship organization, sponsored by Gulf Coast Outreach and Leadership, had an organizational and recruitment meeting at the Isiah Fredricks Community Center.
The two-year organization now has 33 members from middle school to high school throughout South Mississippi.
"It teaches them lifeskills," said mentor Abra Taylor. "It also helps them to be more active in the community; active in school, focus on their grades; also active at home; being a good student; being a good child to their mother or father."
The goal is to develop future leaders.
Potential members have to fill out an application form before consideration into the group.
