HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Firefighters were able to contain a fire to the deck of a home Monday night.

Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan said the fire broke out shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Highland Drive, off Robinson Road in the central part of the county.

Sullivan said a large deck caught fire in the rear of a two-story home, threatening to spread to the rest of the house.

Firefighters from Lizana and Harrison County Fire Services contained the fire to the deck.

Sullivan said there is some damage to the back of the house.

One person was home at the time, but on one was injured.

Sullivan said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
