DIAMONDHEAD, MS (WLOX) - Firefighters are still working to put out the flames inside a hangar at the Diamondhead Airport, but officials on the scene tell us the fire is under control.

Airport Drive has been shut down to make room for firefighters battling the blaze.

Emergency crews got to the scene around 4 p.m. Thursday. Officials tell us two airplanes were in the hangar, and they are being counted as a total loss.

Investigators are still working to find out what sparked the flames, and it is unclear if anyone was injured, according to Diamondhead Fire Chief Jerry Dubuisson.
