BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A convicted felon is behind bars after he allegedly pointed a stolen handgun at a person in the parking garage of the IP Casino during an argument.
Investigator Nick Sonnier said Biloxi police responded to the call Thursday morning, but the suspect and the woman he was with had already left the scene.
Biloxi police issued an alert to other casinos in the area to be on the lookout for the pair. A short time later, Sonnier said Boomtown reported the man and woman police described had entered the casino.
Sonnier said police arrived on the scene and made contact with Lucas Michael Hickam, 35, and Jamie Lynn Guice, 38.
According to Sonnier, the gun police recovered from Hickam was reported stolen out of Long Beach in 2012. Officers reportedly found methamphetamine on Hickam and Guice.
Sonnier said a criminal history search revealed Hickam was convicted on a felony shoplifting charge from Gulfport in 2007.
Hickam is charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled substance. Guice is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Hickam and Guice remain behind bars at the Harrison County Jail. Hickam's bond was set at $150,000 and Guice's bond was set at $50,000.
