Biloxi teen critically injured in Hwy. 67 collision

A young man is fighting for his life after a two vehicle wreck shut down a stretch of Highway 67 near the intersection of Hudson Krohn Road on Thursday evening.
Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesman Cpl. Benjamin Seibert said a GMC flatbed pickup truck driven by 40-year-old Luis Salva, of Wiggins, smashed into the passenger side of a Range Rover while it was crossing the highway. That Range Rover was driven by 18-year-old Lane Beard, of Biloxi.
Seibert said Beard was Life Flighted to USA Medical Center in Mobile, AL, with life-threatening injuries. Salva and his passenger, 12-year-old Steven McDonald, were taken to Merit Health Biloxi to be treated for moderate injuries.
Seibert said the accident remains under investigation.
