GEORGE COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Two George County residents are facing felony charges for methamphetamine possession, one with intent to distribute.

Timothy Adam Havard, 39 years old of Lucedale, and Sierra Montana McCleod, 20 years old of Benndale, were arrested following a tip the sheriff's office received. Havard was arrested with felony possession of controlled substance methamphetamine, with intent to distribute. McCleod was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.

A spokeswoman for the sheriff's department said Havard has a history of drug-related charges. Both are now being held in the George Regional Jail pending an initial court appearance.

George County Sheriff Dean Howell says the department received a tip that Havard and McLeod were at a home on Highway 26W near the Benndale Community.

Officials say the arrests were a joint effort of the George County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
