BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Biloxi firefighters spent more than two hours extinguishing a fire in Eagle Point early Thursday morning. Biloxi Fire Chief Joe Boney said his department responded to the fire at a water front property on South River Drive shortly after 3 a.m.
Biloxi firemen began fighting the single story structure fire with an aggressive interior attack. Boney said windy conditions fueling the blaze soon forced a defensive strategy.
Fire officials said it took 18 firefighters to get the blaze under control by 5:30 a.m. The structure was a total loss.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire and the cause is still under investigation.
