More than 30 vehicles burglarized at Palm Ridge subdivision in D'Iberville

D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - D'Iberville police are investigating the burglaries of more than 30 vehicles at Palm Ridge subdivision in D'Iberville on Wednesday.

According to D'Iberville Police Captain Clay Jones, police received a call at 4 a.m. about a burglarized vehicle in the neighborhood.

That call led to an investigation which revealed more vehicles were burglarized. Those vehicles were parked in the driveways and along the street in the neighborhood. Jones said he believes most of the vehicles were left unlocked.

He said he also believes more than one individual is responsible for burglarizing the vehicles.

"We've reached out to our neighborhood watch captains in that neighborhood to assist with information," Jones said.

Police ask anyone with information on this case to contact D'Iberville Police Department at 228-396-4252.

"It's a burglary of course. No one is expecting their vehicle to be burglarized. This is a crime of opportunity which is basically anytime someone makes it easy for a suspect to commit a crime or when a suspect sees an easy target."
