Sherry murder informant dies

PARCHMAN, MS (WLOX) - The key figure in providing investigators with a motive in the 1991 Sherry murders died Thursday night at Parchman Penitentiary. Bobby Joe Fabian passed away of natural causes.
Fabian was already serving a life sentence in Angola prison for aggravated assault and was hoping for early release after cooperating with authorities.
Fabian told investigators that fellow inmate and Dixie Mafia colleague Kirksey McCord Jr. ordered the murders of Circuit Court Judge Vincent Sherry and former Biloxi Councilwoman Margaret Sherry.
Prison officials say Fabian had been suffering from congestive heart failure He was 67 years old.
