LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) - A neighborhood in Long Beach has been transformed into an interactive holiday wonderland with a million lights and 50 songs. At the Estates of Penny Lane, the Christmas display stretches for blocks and blocks.

At the heart of the operation is Valerie Mueller.

"We finally now, after four years, have some pretty impressive lights," said Mueller, who lives on the street and loves Christmas. Her family business, RPM Pizza, pays for the lights and elaborate decorations each year.

"This year we have some new things. We've got snowflakes, we've got shooting stars, we've got trees that look like they're snowing. We got birds in the trees that we didn't have last year."

And there are signs to direct visitors to tune in to 88.3 on their car radios to watch, listen and enjoy.

"It's not made to get out of your car. It's made to sit and drive through and listen to the music. There's custom music that goes with all the different lighting effects."

This magical display was created and funded by the Mueller Family, but there's apparently no Grinch here as every neighbor for a half a mile around welcomes the lights to adorn their homes each year.

It's an annual tradition now, but some choose to experience it every night.

"There are children, there are cars that stop and tell us that their parents bring them every night. Every night before bed they bring them," Mueller said. "We continue it because people drive by say the nicest things."

The light show will continue through the end of the year at the Estates of Penny Lane in Long Beach. There will be a special treat on December 15th as Santa and some special guests welcome visitors.
