ShaCamree Gowdy began working at WLBT as a digital content producer in February 2018.

She is from the Capital City and graduated from Mississippi State University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in communication and a minor in gender studies.

During her time at MSU, she wrote for the campus newspaper, The Reflector.

She also interned with the National Strategic Planning & Analysis Research Center.

She has interned at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Jackson Free Press, The Cirlot Agency and most recently, The New York Times Student Journalism Institute.

ShaCamree is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Newspaper Guild of Pittsburgh.
