Two Carriere men arrested on felony drug possession charges after traffic stop

PICAYUNE, Miss. (WLOX) — On Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, Pearl River County Narcotics Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Ceasar Road in Picayune, which ended with the arrest of two Carriere men on felony drug charges.

According to a Friday morning Facebook post from the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department (PRSD), officers made contact with the driver, James Spence, 43, and passenger Cameron Franks, 20, both of Carriere, Mississippi.

The post said that during the traffic stop Spence was arrested for driving without a license.

PRSD said while investigators were performing a vehicle inventory they located methamphetamine, Adderall, and oxycodone.

Both Spence and Franks were arrested. Spence was charged with felony possession with intent to distribute, felony possession of controlled substances and misdemeanor possession of controlled substances. Franks was charged with felony possession of controlled substances.
