HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - A woman is behind bars after a shooting incident that left one man injured in Hattiesburg on Sunday.

Hattiesburg police arrested 43-year-old Brandi Jackson on Sunday evening and charged her with domestic violence - aggravated assault.

Officers responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 1700 block of Second Terrace in Hattiesburg.

When officers arrived, they discovered a male victim who said his wife had shot him following an altercation.

The victim was transported from the scene to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

Jackson has been booked into the Forrest County Jail, and her bond is $35,000.
