Marion Co. man arrested for aggravated animal cruelty, sex charges
FOXWORTH, Miss. (WDAM) - A Marion County man was arrested and charged with seven counts of aggravated animal cruelty and two counts of unnatural intercourse on Thursday.
Mason McMullin, 24, of Foxworth, is behind bars after being arrested on Thursday, Sept. 26.
Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received information that a man was torturing and killing animals on video.
A search warrant was served that day, and deputies arrived at the address to conduct a welfare check.
They brought McMullin in to interview him, and he was later brought into custody.
Deputies collected physical and electronic evidence. Another search warrant was served on Friday.
McMullin’s bond is set at $500,000 cash only.
Additional charges are expected to be brought forward as the investigation continues.
