Man wanted for armed robbery in Gulfport now in custody

GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - A man wanted by police for an armed robbery in Gulfport is now behind bars.

Gulfport Police said Grady Lavell Sumrall was arrested on Tuesday. He is charged with the armed robbery of a business located in the 10000 block of Highway 49.

Officers responded around 12:12 a.m. on April 17 after receiving a call from the business, said authorities. During the investigation, authorities determined that Sumrall robbed employees at gunpoint and fled the scene before officers arrived.
