NEW ORLEANS, Lou. (WLOX) - Sunday’s game for the Saints against Chicago will be a rematch of week eight’s game, but the personnel for each side will look a touch different.
For the Saints, Michael Thomas wasn’t available in the regular season match-up but is on pace to play Sunday, and the same goes for Emmanuel Sanders. The Bears, on the other hand, have a different quarterback under center with an improving offense, but a slumping defense.
But to gain offensive traction at the end of the regular season is one thing - to succeed against this Saints defense in the postseason is another.
“I feel that this season we’ve built a resume within our defense with how to win games, how to close games, and how to win close games,” Cameron Jordan said. “Those are things you can rely on and the confidence that we built. At the same time, we bring the energy to our team in every facet that you believe possible. Especially ending the season the way we did last game when everybody was active.”
