SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - Hurricane’s Zeta’s winds are still ripping across South Mississippi, but we’re getting a sense of the damage caused by the storm.

Several car owners will come back to flooded vehicles that were left behind on the bottom floor of the Golden Nugget Casino garage in Biloxi. Chet Landry captured video showing just how high the water got. Hurricane Zeta’s storm surge is expected to be around 7 to 11 feet.
It’s a much calmer scene in Hancock County as Zeta’s winds have now died down and people can start to get a Michael Dugan gives us a look at Bay St. Louis, including damage to the roof of the historic 100 Men Hall.
We’re also receiving multiple reports of fires, possibly connected to downed power lines or transformers blowing. Police are asking everyone to avoid driving, even after the winds die down, because of impassable roads.
