Authorities searching for Jeep involved in fatal hit-and-run on I-10

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in the case of a fatal hit-and-run in Jackson County Saturday.
Mississippi Highway Patrol confirmed a pedestrian was killed on Interstate 10 near exit 75 at Franklin Creek around 6 a.m. The victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
The driver left the scene in what authorities believe to be a 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler that is missing the front passenger fender flare. Authorities are working to locate the vehicle, last seen traveling east on I-10 near the Mississippi/Alabama state line.
The crash is still under investigation. More details will be released as they become available.
