Goodwill mega thrift store opens in Ocean Springs
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WLOX) - The largest Goodwill store in South Mississippi is now open for business in Ocean Springs. The ribbon cutting was held Friday morning.
The Goodwill Mega Store is a first for the coast. It’s about 32,000 square feet and includes an internet cafe and career center inside the store. Programs at that career center will include resumé writing, job placement, financial literacy, adult literacy and a retail certification program.
The store will have both new and donated goods. The new items sold will range from personal items to furniture.
Longtime Ocean Springs residents will remember the building as the old Delchamps grocery store in Sea Shores Plaza on Hwy 90.
With this opening, Goodwill now has 16 retail thrift stores in South Mississippi.
