B.E. Fit holds memorial walk to honor Officer Robert McKeithen

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Brantley Ellison Fitness is holding a special memorial walk Sunday in honor of fallen Biloxi police officer, Robert McKeithen, the Biloxi Police Department and the sacrifices they’ve made for the community.

Biloxi Police Officer Robert McKeithen served the city for 24 years before being killed Sunday night outside the police department.

The walk starts at 7 a.m.

The 12.6 mile walk will honor McKeithen and his time as an officer before he was killed. Ellison chose 12.6 miles because McKeithen wore badge #126. The walk goes from Jones Park to the Biloxi Town Green. Walkers are more than welcomed to walk at a shorter pace if needed.

Participants will gather at Sal & Mookie’s afterwards for refreshments.

The event is free and open to the public.
