Suspect in custody five months after Biloxi shooting

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - An Alabama man is now behind bars, charged in a shooting that happened in Biloxi in December.

Oshea Montrell Odom, 32, was arrested Friday in Mobile, Ala., and charged with two counts of aggravated assault. The shooting happened Dec. 30, 2018, outside the IP Casino Resort in Biloxi.

Police say Odom and the victim got into a fight near the casino. The victim was leaving when Odom shot him, said Maj. Chris DeBack. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after the shooting, police released surveillance photos showing the suspect and a woman. Authorities now say that man is Odom. Police have not identified the woman.

Odom is being held at Harrison County Jail, where a $200,000 bond was set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.
