GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Gulfport police have arrested a sixth person in the shooting death of Biloxi Police Officer Robert McKeithen.
Wanya Toquest Atkinson, 20, was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with accessory after the fact. Wanya is the brother of 19-year-old Darian Atkinson, who is accused of shooting McKeithen outside the Biloxi Police Department on May 5. His bond was set at $500,000.

On Wednesday, investigators were sent to an area of Biloxi near the police station to continue looking for evidence. Those investigators will not say if they found anything that can be tied to Officer McKeithen’s shooting or to Darian Atkinson.
Besides Darian Atkinson and Wanya Atkinson, four other suspects have also been arrested in the investigation. Among them is Darian’s other brother, 21-year-old Davian Atkinson. Police say Davian helped Darian after the murder by giving him access to a cell phone and a vehicle to help evade police.

Andre Anderson Sullivan Jr., Joshua Michael Kovach and Dalentez Latavian Brice are also charged with accessory after the fact. Authorities say they provided clothing to Darian after the murder.
Darian Atkinson is not expected to go back before a judge until June 18 for his preliminary hearing. However, the other four suspects could have their preliminary hearings in the next few weeks.
