BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - An active-duty servicemember was arrested Wednesday after a bomb threat caused Keesler Air Force Base to go on lockdown.

The threat was reported around 5:20 p.m. at a work center on base, according to officials.

Since the incident involved an active-duty member of the Armed Forces, the person’s name has not been released. Officials have also not said whether the person is facing any charges.

The gates to Keesler were closed as a precaution while authorities searched for the suspect. Base officials said nothing was found during that search.

The gates were re-opened shortly after the incident was reported.
