BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Ashley Nacol Adams was originally arrested and charged with felony shoplifting Friday, but received more charges after biting one of the Biloxi police officers on the leg.
Adams was arrested for the shoplifting charge after an investigation into a shoplifting incident that happened on 11/15/2018 at Edgewater Mall. During the booking process, police say she attempted to escape by running out of the building.
After she was captured was when she bit an officer on the leg, according to police. Adams is now charged with felony shoplifting, attempted escape, and simple assault on a police officer.
She was transported to the Harrison County Jail. Bond was set at $25,000.
