BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - Seeing their playoff opener postponed to Wednesday due to the threat of wintry weather earlier this week, the Bay High Lady Tigers wasted no time after finally kicking things off. Breann Hayes scored in the seventh minute to give Bay High a 1-0 lead, and that’s all they would need. The Tigers beat Richland 1-0 to advance to the second round.
Just minutes away, the St. Stanislaus Rock-A-Chaws took care of business against Florence, winning 2-0 to stay alive in the postseason. The Rock-A-Chaws will visit East Central this Saturday at 2 p.m. for their second round contest.
In other boys soccer playoff scores around our area, Biloxi and Pearl River Central both saw their seasons come to an end, but St. Patrick dominated Magee 8-0 to advance to the second round.
