One last quiet day before a strong cold front moves through late tonight. Skies will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 60s. Strong cold front will begin to move through after midnight tonight with much colder air moving in right behind it. We will see numerous showers along and ahead of the front overnight but the biggest question is how much moisture will remain in place as the cold air arrives. Given the speed and strength of the cold air there is a very small window that rain could change over to sleet and snow across South Mississippi as far south of as the I-10 corridor. Obviously the best chance for change over and any accumulation will be across locations like Pearl River, Stone, and George counties. If there is any accumulation it will be very light and mainly on elevated surfaces. Turning much colder Tuesday night with lows in the 20s so be sure to protect people, pets, and plants.
