NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Jefferson Parish Councilman-at-Large Chris Roberts said he is lobbying for a Saints parade, despite the heartbreaking loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
“Mardi Gras is late this year. I am game if my colleagues are for having a Saints parade coordinated with Orleans and Jefferson. I will try and guage (sic) interest from my colleagues in Jefferson and NOLA tomorrow. We should have the parade smack during the Superbowl.” Roberts said in a tweet.
The New Orleans Saints lost to the Rams in dramatic fashion. After a controversial non-call on a play that national experts, and the NFL, said was blatant pass interference and helmet-to-helmet contact, the Rams beat New Orleans on a 57-year field goal in overtime.
