A former Stone and Gulf Coast standout running back is heading to the Division I ranks.

Terrion Avery announced via Twitter Friday his commitment to sign with South Alabama, where he would play for former MGCCC head coaches Steve Campbell and Chad Huff.

In two seasons at Gulf Coast, Avery combined for a total of 1.719 rushing yards and sixteen touchdowns.
