Shoppers explore Promenade in D’Iberville to snag last-minute gifts

D’IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) - Early Sunday morning, shoppers made their way into Kohl’s in D’Iberville, taking advantage of extended hours to take care of their last-minute Christmas lists.

It didn’t take long for the parking lots to fill up.

Angela Massey found the deals she was looking for, and finished her list.

“I’m done today finally. It took me about two weeks to get everything special that I needed on my list,” she said.

The Promenade is her preferred location to get everything she needs.

“You can just jump from one store to the next. The Ten Dollar Store for clothes, Target, you can go eat at the same time,” she said.

While Massey was just finishing up her Christmas shopping, others like Pam Gibson were just getting started.

“Today I just started my Christmas shopping,” Gibson said. “I heard this store was open 24 hours. I thought I could maybe get out here early and beat the crowds, but can’t forget my grandkids.”

She may have gotten a late start, but it wasn't too late to find some deals.

“I did, I’m still finding things and, you know, I try to think of the child in me and get something fun for them to open and have a good time,” Gibson said.

Others were just getting out and spending time with family.

“Just spending time with the family,” said Cedrick Flaggs, who was visiting from Los Angeles. “We’re shopping and get out in the real world and get offline and do some real shopping.”
