    'Urban Country' filming in South Mississippi

    There's a new film being shot in South Mississippi staring former Walking Dead actress Brighton Sharbino.
    The family flick is shot in several locations on the coast.
    The film's producer says this is his second time shooting a film here and credits not only the variety of scenery, but also the welcoming locals.

    We are going to see an increase of showers and thunderstorms over the next few days. That means we will see a slight break from the oppressive heat, as well. But for area that don't see rain, heat index values will soar into the 100° to 110° range again. High temperatures will be in the low 90s Friday, but they will be slightly lower for Saturday and Sunday because of the increased cloud cover and rainfall.

    Twenty-five years ago, the Marine Mammal Protection act was amended to formally name NOAA's National Marine Fisheries service the lead agency in dealing with stranded marine mammals including dolphins. The agency has a lot of programs that promote the safety of all marine mammals which are protected species. But recent action, or lack of action by the federal agency led to the death of a dolphin.
