Supervisors, FEMA agree to lease damaged Gulfport library

By WLOX Staff

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - The Katrina damaged library building in downtown Gulfport will soon go on the market.

The Harrison County Board of Supervisors and FEMA reached an agreement Thursday to put the library up for lease for one year. Any interested party would have to agree to renovate the building.

The county planned to demolish the building, but library supporters have fought to keep the building for public use.
