Robbery likely motive in disabled woman's murder

JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -  Robbery appears to be the motive for a murder in the Orange Grove community, according to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd.

Thursday, Donna Slater was found dead in her house off Shingle Mill Landing Road. Slater, who was wheelchair bound, was found stabbed in the neck.

So far, no arrests have been made in the case. Investigators are still processing evidence found at the scene, and interviewing suspects.
