Waveland toddler drowns in family pool

WAVELAND, MS (WLOX) - A 2-year-old girl died this weekend when she drowned in her family's pool. The accident happened Saturday on Grass Street in Waveland's Idlewood subdivision.

The toddler's 14-year-old sister was baby-sitting and went outside to find her after realizing she hadn't seen her for awhile. She found the child floating in a pool of water.

The victim's sister jumped in, pulled the toddler out of the water and began CPR, but it was too late. The child was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.
