PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - Sunday afternoon people came out for the parade of all parades. The St. Paul's Carnival Association is celebrating its 79th year.

With 65 floats and thousands of party goers, this year's parade proved to be another successful event.

The St. Paul Carnival Parade in the Pass is one of the most anticipated events in South Mississippi. So much so, that people don't mind driving the distance to get in on the action.

"It's something new every year," said one parade goer. "I grew up in Pass Christian. I live in North Carolina now and I come down every year."

Organizers say more than 60,000 people attend the event every year. That makes it one of the largest Mardi Gras parties on the Gulf Coast.
