Bay High teacher fired for 'inappropriate relationship' with student

BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - A Bay High School teacher has been fired after being accused of having an "inappropriate relationship" with a student.

Bay-Waveland School Superintendent Dr. Kim Stasny confirmed to WLOX News that Steven Tadlock is accused of seeing a female student at Bay High outside of school hours. However, Stasny does not know the extent of their relationship.

Stasny told WLOX News, "The school district's policy does not allow teachers to socialize with students. That's grounds for termination."

Tadlock taught Spanish at Bay High for about a year and a half. Stasny says the district is working with local authorities on their investigation into Mr. Tadlock.
