MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX)- A Moss Point woman is dead after an apparent attempted murder suicide Saturday night.  A 911 call came to Moss Point Police Dispatch just before 9:30 last night from 59 hundred Youpon Street from a woman saying she had been shot.

Moss Point Police officials said they also received a call from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department dispatch, advising that a man had called from the same address to report a shooting.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found 39-year-old Tonia Wells and 46-year-old Alfred Darryl Robinson inside the home with gunshot wounds.

They were taken to Singing River Hospital, where Wells was later pronounced dead from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen, according the Jackson County Coroner Vicky Broadus.

Robinson was still in critical condition Sunday evening.

Moss Point Police are tight-lipped about the shooting. They say that's because it's still under investigation.

Sources close to the case believe Robinson was the shooter. WLOX will have more news on this story as it develops.
