Two plead guilty to Katrina fraud

Biloxi, MS (WLOX) - Two people have pleaded guilty to Katrina fraud in separate cases.

James Arnold of Gulfport pleaded guilty to stealing more than $24,000 in federal disaster funds. The U.S. Attorney's office said Arnold used an old address on his disaster paperwork and claimed personal property losses from Katrina. He will be sentenced on May 8th.

Bonnie M. Sonnier, formerly of Biloxi, pleaded guilty to filing a false FEMA claim. She was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to repay FEMA more than $8,000. Sonnier must also repay the American Red Cross $360.
