State Auditor releases report on government issued cell phones

JACKSON, MS (WLOX) - Cell phone usage has gone up in the last four years, and that includes how much state employees use their government issued cell phones.

Last year, the state of Mississippi issued 6,082 active cell phones with a total cost of more than $3 million. In 2007, there were more cell phones issued - 6,277 - but the state spent more than $3,000 less on them.
