Overpass Repairs Won't Happen Until December

Back in July, a truck slammed into the concrete support beams under Interstate 10. Chunks of concrete fell onto Highway 49. MDOT immediately put signs on the eastbound side of I-10. The signs warned trucks to stay in the right lane.

It's now three months later. The bridge repair signs are still up. But nobody has done any bridge repair work.

Thursday, MDOT said it will be at least December for the most severely damaged support beam is replaced. That work will take about five months to complete.
